Ideation

During the design process we started with free ideation without any limitations, so no requirements. We quickly realized that the cap will need a size adjustable clamping mechanism and that you could either have a stationary device or a handheld tool. With the stationary option, we saw possibilities to include pouring into the design. Another pro of a stationary design is that the cap will stay in the same axis as the bottle. We were able to define design requirements thanks to the co-design activities and doing ideation. For example, Apple-style design, combinations of various types of feedback, and so on. This is the stage at which we generate ideas. We began to think outside the box in order to find a product that would not only remind our co-designer to complete tasks, but also follow through on them.
